Hi! I’m Brittany. I’m a happily married, Christian mother of two toddler boys, “LB” who is almost 3, and “Wywy” who is currently 1. I live on a little piece of land in a mobile-home-trailer-turned-farmhouse where my wonderful, creative husband and I are almost always knee deep in one project or another.
My passions are natural childbirth and raising and training children (and horses, cats, and dogs too!) 🙂 Lately, I’ve embarked on a journey to make my insides match my outsides. I want to be real. I am Just A Mom In Training and I learn new things just about every day in my marriage and in life with my little ones. Here, I hope to share what I learn as I go.
I love mornings, coffee, sunshine, and cheerios with peanut butter.
I’m horribly disorganized. I usually start thinking about dinner at about 4:30 or 5 p.m. when I get hungry and notice myself peering into the freezer to see what kind of meat would thaw fastest in the microwave.
I like to ski really fast, drive really fast, and ride horses really fast. I believe God gave us life to experience and I don’t want to miss out! However, I’m also learning to slow down and live in the now as I watch my children grow and change before my eyes.
I’ve been given just this one life, and I want to live it to bring glory to my Lord, my Savior, Jesus. He is real and it is His will I seek.
Here at Just A Mom In Training, my dream to give more than just inspiration and encouragement. My goal is to provide the practical tools for a mom who desires to raise her children with biblical parenting principles. For moms who might feel stuck, I hope to provide some help to get you unstuck!
As I share the things I’ve learned and the places I’ve failed, I hope to inspire my readers to dream big dreams for their children and family. I hope to sometimes be the person you don’t want to hear, challenging you to do things differently. I hope to, at other times, be your cheerleader, enthusiastically congratulating you about a success. Either way, I will remain just a mom in training.
